Meet the Owners

I have spent the last 23 years boarding and walking groups of dogs on public nature trails in Maryland and DC.  During that time, I have developed a keen insight into dog behavior and how to manage a pack. I have a way of connecting and communicating with dogs on a level which they respond to positively.

I have developed lasting relationships with my clients, caring for three generations of some of their dogs and even giving their kids part-time summer jobs.

I met Bridget in Maryland when she was working at the National Center for Health Statistics. She received her Ph.D. in psychology from UCLA a few years earlier and was looking to move closer to her family in Virginia. After falling in love, we found the perfect property to live happily together and build our own dog park. We soon moved to the Lynchburg area with her sheepadoodle Mosa and my shepard/golden retriever Zeta. A few months later, Happy Hound K9 Social Club was born!
